The Digital Art Center Artplay Media resumes the showing of the sensational multimedia exhibition “Michelangelo. The Sistine Chapel, "in which the famous frescoes of the Sistine Chapel - ceiling painting of the "Last Judgment" alive on giant screens.

The project is dedicated to the greatest creator of the Renaissance - Michelangelo Buonarroti, who during his lifetime was called Il Divino ("the Divine") and whose influence on art can be traced to our day. His genius manifested itself in sculpture, painting, architecture and even poetry, but one of the master’s most impressive creations is the painting of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican, depicting the whole path that, according to the Bible, humanity must go through from the Creation of Adam to the Last Judgment. The ceiling painting of the chapel occupies more than 500 square meters and contains around 300 figures. We can observe nine scenes from the Old Testament, divided into three groups: the creation by God of the Earth; the creation of the human race and its fall; the essence of humanity in the person of Noah and his family. On the vaults of the chapel, Michelangelo creates his own picture of the world: his frescoes are a hymn to physical and spiritual beauty, the affirmation of the limitless creative possibilities of God and man created in his likeness. The most famous of the frescoes of the chapel is the Creation of Adam. The oncoming movement of two hands – man’s and God’s - is an image that has become a symbol of the Renaissance. Due to its uniqueness, this symbol is still present in popular culture and even advertising.

Every day up to ten thousand people visit the Sistine Chapel. A huge number of visitors and the height at which the frescoes are located do not fully appreciate the work of the great master. Visitors of our exhibition “Michelangelo. Sistine Chapel” will beneficiate of a unique opportunity to see the frescoes in great details, appreciating the scale of the titanic work of Michelangelo. Even those who saw the originals in the Vatican will not remain disappointed.
