The exhibition is based on the theoretical work of Kazimir Malevich, “Laziness as the Truth of mankind,” written in Vitebsk in 1921. But modern authors from Moscow, Ufa, Milan and Berlin have their absolutely own point of view about this phenomenon. The artists and curators of the project do not at all accidentally reflect in a simple and accessible form about the "traditional Russian phenomenon", which is probably inherent not only to Russians. Both Pushkin and Gogol and of course Goncharov wrote about laziness. Our task is to conduct research using modern art tools, and the theoretical work of Kazimir Malevich became our roadmap.
